About the organizations:
Kids in Flight uses aviation to empower children with serious illnesses or disabilities and their families through flight experiences and educational programs. Each year, the organization hosts a special day highlighting the wonder of aviation called Wings of Wonder from Burke Lakefront Airport. Children with serious illnesses or disabilities and their families are invited to enjoy a day away from it all while taking part in games, crafts and other activities including a catered lunch and sightseeing flight over Cleveland, creating memories that will last forever. All of this is at absolutely no cost to the families. www.kidsinflight.org
Kiwanis Club of Brecksville offers more than 65 years of serving children and supporting civic and charitable organizations in and around Brecksville. We sponsor service leadership programs in several local schools and organize Brecksville’s annual Easter Egg Hunt, Santa Delivery, Empty Bowls, Horse Show, Cleveland Youth Orchestra concert, and Trick-or-Trot. Previous projects included building a playground behind our rec center, the clock at town square, and wheelchair ramp at Brecksville Stables. In the past year alone, Brecksville Kiwanis monetarily supported BBHHS students with more than $11,000 in college scholarships, Eagle Scout projects in local hospitals and playgrounds, BBH middle school music department, Brecksville Pantry, created 1000+ Easter baskets for northeast Ohio children at or near the poverty line, and more. www.brecksvillekiwanis.org
